Diabetes monitors recalled. Are you affected?
If you are a Columbia Pacific member with diabetes, we have news that may affect you.
What happened:
On November 24, 2025, a voluntary recall was announced for the following brands of continuous glucose monitoring sensors:
- FreeStyle Libre 3
- FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus
Why this is happening:
The manufacturer of these monitors, Abbott, has recalled multiple lots of FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors because they provide incorrect low glucose readings.
What you should do:
Visit www.FreeStyleCheck.com to confirm if your sensor is impacted.
If you have the recalled FreeStyle Libre 3 or FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor, stop using it and replace it with a new sensor that is not recalled. You can receive a free replacement from Abbott by visiting this website as well.
Why you should replace your sensor:
Using the recalled sensors may lead to incorrect low glucose readings. Incorrect low glucose readings over an extended period may lead to wrong treatment decisions. These decisions may pose serious health risks, including potential injury or death, or other less serious complications.
Please contact your doctor immediately if you experience any problems that you think might be related to using the recalled sensors.
